When I Am Reminded
© By Gaye Combs

Each day is a new beginning given by God
I am reminded how blessed I am as this road I tread.
A new friendship comes to mind and it is my treasure.
Watching a child at play is my greatest pleasure.
Being able to help a fallen soul will
be my greatest joy.
Watching a bird build a nest while the
world searches for rest.
I am reminded I am only a small part of his plan.
When skies are blue or gray you are always there beside me.
I am reminded of God's love at the site
of a rainbow after the rain.
When I see the flag I'm reminded of the
freedoms I share.
I remember God's love to me when I
suffer much pain.
As the clowns come to town I am grateful I'm able to laugh.
I'll share your heavy load to let you
know I care.
I am reminded day by day we have much to share.

ON MY SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION
© By FRED L. COLEMAN III

Through the darkness of ignorance
Against the emptiness of doubt
Despite of the insecurity of despair
On my spiritual foundation, planted I stand.
Heart broken by the starvation of hungry minds
Disturbed by the isolation of flesh with lost souls
Outraged by mankinds' fearless marched to self destruction
On my spiritual foundation, planted I stand.
In the light of a back sliding world continuously being
Preached to by living Decibels of the Devils' throne and while
Drenched in the reality of todays' false Prophets
On my spiritual foundation, planted I stand.
You see I believe in the word of Christ.
Those who believe they will never have a chance, those who religiously enjoy blasphemy; the Devils' dance. Those who's very being is ruled by prejudice and hate, Still have a chance to walk through Heavens' gate.
Look up all you sinners, somebody is watching you.
Look up all you sinners, he knows everything you do.
NOW is the time to clean off the slate
Christ has open arms, he understands, knows no hate.
This is, I believe, the gift he gave to man
On my spiritual foundation, planted I stand.

Dear God in Heaven - A Family's Prayer
© By JAMES B. HAYS

Dear God in Heaven above
Today is the day that You took someone we love
We know that we need not worry
Because Your there with him with open arms

Dear God in Heaven above
The man that stands before You was deeply loved
Although it seems like it is the end
Now the memories of him shall begin

Dear God in Heaven above
We are here today with sorrow and grief
But when we look up toward Heaven there will be a sence of relief
Because the man before You is in a better place

Today is not a day of death, but rebirth
Because he lived a long and healthy life here on earth
So on this day we will look back no more
Because on this day we know he's with You, Jesus Christ our Lord

The man that has left us he will truly be missed
For all that knew him we know that we were blessed

Dear God in Heaven above
The man that I refer to was a husband, father, brother, grandfather and dear friend
For when our time comes we know that we will see him again

Dear God in Heaven above
We pray that You will guide us to see this through
Hold us and keep us safe in all that we do

Heaven
© By Madeleine T. Pingitore

Is heaven everything I imagine it to be?
As pure as if looking through a child's eyes,
Or is that just my hopeful imagination?
What do we do when we leave this world behind?

Will we live the life of angels,
Eternally in peace?
Or will we act as if still on Earth?
Maybe just a little more carefree..

Will faint music fill the background?
Will the ground be made of clouds?
Will the colors be more white
Or will it be like our feet were still planted firmly on the ground?

Will we see God's face?
Will we see the one that loved us so?
Will we see loved ones long past?
Will we see old enemies, friends quickly made above?

Will love be abundant,
Or will we keep our inner hatred?
Will peace keep us together,
Or will our conflicts keep us parted?

Will our human ignorance destroy heaven?
Or by passing through those pearly gates,
Will we become enlightened?

Does it even exist?
Or has our disbelief made it fade?
Who will be forgiven?
What right will we be given?...

I know our faith will guide us
Send our souls above the clouds
But will it all come crashing down
When human nature takes control'
